Earlier lessons discuss the importance of connection. This lesson focuses on the initiative necessary to create those connections in the first place. By mere coincidence there is sometimes opportunity to create a sense of community in the various groups we form whether it be in our classes, extra curriculars, workplaces, etc. But it does ultimately require some level of initiative to then take the next steps to create relationships and the sense of community that follows.
One place in which community can be created is in the various student organizations available on campus. You can create community in your residence halls, major programs, student employment, music groups, sport teams, organizations, etc.
