  • Students must register the device on the Wartburg network. Follow the instructions provided on the ITS Resources Page. (login required)
    • Instructions are located under Connect to the Network > Registering you Laptop on the Wartburg Network.
  • Students may download any software they desire, on their own.
    • Software must be purchased by the student.
    • Office 365 is provided by Wartburg College. Follow the instructions provided on the ITS Resources Page. (login required)
      • Instructions are located under Email Support > Installing Office 365

Please note that historically the long term laptops included software. A change has been made to the hardware to be compliant with various policies surrounding the use of software and applications.

History

The Long-Term Laptop Program originated in the Student Life Office with PC computers. It was moved to the library in the fall of 2021 to better track loans and increase computing resources during the pandemic. Macs were added in winter term, 2022. Newer PC’s replaced the older PC’s in the fall of 2022.
