Laptops 101

Operating Systems:

Mainly there are three different operating systems a device can run at a time. MacOs, Windows, & Linux.

History Info:

MacOs: The first version of MacOs, called MacOs X Server 1.0, was launched in 1999. The first consumer version, MacOs X 10.0, was released in March 2001 for Apple Macintosh computers.

Windows: The first version of Microsoft windows, windows 1.0, was released on November 20,1985, as a graphical shell for MS-DOS. Its development release ran on the Tandy 2000 in May 2984, while the first public version (windows 1.01) ran on IBM PC XT computers with EGA or CGA displays.

Linux: Linux was created in 1991by Finnish student Linus Torvalds as a free, open-source OS kernel inspired by Unix (developed in the 1970s). The first Linux Kernel was released in September 1991, enabling developers worldwide to contribute and expand its capabilities.
