Vogel library offers a wide array of equipment, technology, leisure activities, and facilities

Lecture Classroom
2nd floor (Classroom #1, LIB 230)

classroom with many desks, whiteboards, a projector, and computer station at the front.Lecture-style classroom which seats 30, with instructor podium and digital projector and an option to connect your laptop. Includes multiple installed whiteboards.

Collaborative Classroom
2nd floor (Classroom #2, LIB 233)

classroom with 4 pods with TV monitors and 5 chairs and a computer teaching stationFour tables in X-shaped arrangement, each table seats six (6) with a large, flat-screen monitor. Instructor podium includes a PC tower, and a control panel allowing presenters to select tables' displays, a smartboard for presenting, and an option for connecting your laptop. Also has numerous removable whiteboards for in-class projects.

Curriculum Lab
1st floor

photo of collaborative classroomFour tables in X-shaped arrangement, each table seats six (6) with a large, flat-screen monitor. Instructor podium includes a PC tower, individual displays at each pod, and a smartboard for presenting. A calendar of the list of classes for the term that use the room are posted outside of the classroom. Education classes have access to the technology cart containing MacBook laptops for in-class use. Also has numerous removable whiteboards for in-class projects.

Faculty Development Room
1st floor, LIB 120

large table with many chairs. red carpet and a flat screen tv on the wall.Six (6) moveable tables with office-style chairs each, and a small reading area with comfortable chairs. A large flat-screen monitor connected as a docking station for laptops for presenters. Also included is a high-top table near the monitor for presenter use. The entire south wall is a whiteboard, and the room also includes a selection of books to support and inspire faculty development, which can be checked out.

Creation Studio
2nd floor

several computers at two long tables with chairs. a large whiteboard on the wall.Desktop computers (Mac and Windows) fully-equipped with Adobe Creative Suite and other software to support student creativity and innovation. Students needing the specialized software available in the Studio have priority in its use. Two docking stations are located in this area that can be used during the day by anyone. In the evenings, these docking stations are used by ITS student personnel to provide support in the library.

Meeting and Study Rooms
3rd floor, LIB 352 and LIB 353

study room with tv, table, and chairsLIB 352 and 353 are available for institutional use from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, and serve as student group study rooms in the evenings. Room 352 has a large flat-screen monitor with cables that allow users to attach a laptop computer. When not reserved, these rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Laptops must be registered on the network in order to use the ethernet ports. 

Group Study Rooms, 3rd floor

Some have large flat-screen monitors with HDMI cables allowing users to connect a laptop for group work. All are available on a first-come, first-served basis only; they cannot be reserved. Laptops must be registered on the network in order to use the ethernet ports. 

Individual Study Rooms, 3rd floor

room with desk, chair, lamp, and whiteboardPriority use for individual study rooms is given to the ARC (Academic Resource Center) for testing. These rooms are not reservable and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Library Spaces Available for Meetings

 
Wartburg Faculty, Staff, & Students

Priority for the library classrooms on the second floor is for information literacy instruction by librarians. Request to reserve one of these rooms or another library space through the Room Request Portal (linked below).

Unless otherwise noted, all rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Individual study rooms cannot be reserved.

Other equipment and podium: If you need equipment not provided in the rooms, plan to bring it with you. The library does not have a podium.

Food and drink:  You may serve food and beverages in these rooms, but users are responsible for clean-up.  Please leave rooms in the condition in which you found them.


Outside Meeting Groups

Priority use of library meeting spaces is given to Wartburg faculty, staff, and students; however outside (non-Wartburg affiliated) groups can request to reserve spaces for a fee.
