EN 250 Text Analysis and Research Methods

Book shopping in the 398s - both in the youth non-fiction AND in the general stacks - is going to be helpful for this class! Folk Tales, Fairy Tales, and Fables are typically organized with nonfiction texts because they are part of a shared cultural experience.

First Floor Vogel

  • Juvenile/Easy - these picture books are in the shelving near the first floor classroom
  • Juvenile/Young Adult Fiction - these chapter books are in the southern stacks - near the journals and microfilm
  • Juvenile/Young Adult Non-Fiction - most likely 398s for traditional tales, NF books in the southern stacks
  • General Stacks - most likely 398s for traditional tales, NF books are in the northern stacks

Second Floor Vogel

  • Graphic Novel Collection
  • Leisure Reading Collection - sorted by genre, a wide variety of leisure reads
  • DVD Collection - the library also has a portable DVD player available for checkout
