Music Therapy - Courses & Research

Search the databases for music therapy articles

Music Therapy Databases Video Part 1 covers Google Scholar and OneSearch

Google Scholar--all peer-reviewed journals at once

Choose Google Scholar if you know you want peer-reviewed journal articles from a variety of disciplines.

  • Full Text: Look for the link to full text on the right side of the results.
  • Not Full Text: Order anything not in full text through Interlibrary Loan (see video on the bottom of this page).

OneSearch--everything at once

Choose OneSearch if you want to see peer-reviewed journal articles, books, newspaper articles, and everything in the library's collection before limiting.

  • Full Text: Full text access should be indicated.
  • Not Full Text: If an article is listed as not having the full text, click the link to initiate the Interlibrary Loan process (see video on bottom of this page).

Individual Databases

Part 2 covers choosing individual databases

Choose databases from the Databases A-Z list when you want results from only one discipline area.

Ask the librarian for tips about which database to choose for what! Four examples of many are linked below.
