Wartburg Archives Procedure Manual: Accretions

Accretions are additional donations/deposits to existing collections in the Archives.

1. Create a new accession log entry
2. Integrate into existing series in collection OR create new (depending on materials) - consult Archivist for determination
   1. Materials will either be added to existing boxes or placed in new
      1. Create or update box labels
   2. Add new materials to Finding Aid document
3. Update Finding Aid on website
   1. including collection extent, abstract, subjects, series descriptions, and container listings)
4. Update Proficio
   1. Collection and series records
   2. Add File Unit and/or Item level records
