Getting Started

  • One Search is the Vogel Library catalog. Utilize the filters to narrow your initial search.

  • ProQuest One Academic houses a broad range of academic content. Knowing how to write key word phrases and using filtering options will make your searches more successful!

  • Pro Tip: Basic search queries are never written in the form of a question.

  • Search with key word phrasesUse quotation marks to hold a phrase together.

  • Boolean operators help to narrow or broaden your search. AND, OR, and NOT are most commonly used.

  • Wildcard operators act as place holders as you search. This can help you to expand your search to include related words. (example: govern* will locate govern, governs, governor, government...)
