Rooms and Spaces

Wartburg Faculty, Staff & Students

Priority for the library classrooms 1 and 2 on the second floor is for information literacy instruction by librarians. Unless otherwise noted, all rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Groups of two or more have priority in the use of group study rooms; individuals may be asked to leave if a group needs the room.   

Individual study rooms cannot be reserved.  Exceptions will be made for students in need of a space for job interviews and taking standardized tests such as the LSAT.  During the day on weekdays, the use of some individual rooms may be prioritized by ARC for testing. 

Items available for checkout include whiteboard markers and erasers, ethernet cords, adapters, charges, and more can be checked out at the 2nd floor Circulation desk with your Wartburg ID. The library does not have a podium. 

Food and drink: You may bring food and beverages into all library rooms, but users are responsible for clean-up.  Please leave rooms in the condition in which you found them. 

The library is not responsible for unattended items left in study rooms. In consideration of room access for all students, personal items left unattended beyond 30 minutes may be moved to the Lost and Found and can be claimed at the 2nd floor Circulation Desk.

Reservable spaces include 3rd floor group study rooms, classroom 1 (230), classroom 2 (233), the Curriculum classroom (C-LAB), the Faculty Development Room (120), the Kreativwerkstatt (220), Booth Seating Area (1st floor), and Learning Commons (3rd floor just outside ARC).  Each meeting request is reviewed by staff on a case-by-case basis. 

Outside Meeting Groups

Priority use of library meeting spaces is given to Wartburg faculty, staff, and students; however outside (non-Wartburg affiliated) groups can request to reserve spaces for a fee.

Disclaimers

• Anyone using Library spaces are subject to behavior expectations of Wartburg College.
