Preface
The Wartburg College Archives is responsible for the collection and preservation of records that document the college’s history, development, operation, policies, people, activities, and events.
The Archives is committed to providing access to holdings. However, access to some items may be restricted by their fragile condition or by contractual agreement with the donors, and it may not be possible at all times to provide appropriate machinery for reading, viewing or accessing non-print materials. In such circumstances arrangements may have to be made for digital duplication or transfer to occur before access can be provided.
Introduction
Abstract: A Knight’s Armor was first published in the form of a magazine at the start of the 2001 Winter Term. It was Wartburg’s first faith-centered publication and finished its tenure in 2010 with its tenth volume. Inspired by Ephesians 6:11, this publication promoted Christian ministry on campus. Each issue consists of work submitted to A Knight’s Armor by Wartburg Students. These works include poems, photographs, stories, drawings, essays, and songs.

Publication History
History: First published at the beginning of the 2001 Winter Term, A Knight’s Armor ran until 2010. Melissa Guthrie and JoHanna Madsen founded the publication and served as its first Editors. The last issue edited by the founders was the first issue in the third volume, December 2002. Brian D. Burrier then began his editorial career on the second issue in the third volume, April 2002. His last edited the first issue in the fourth volume, April 2004. The next editors, Karen Connelly and Abbie Lichty, first issue was published in April 2005 and was the first issue of the fifth volume. The first issue of volume six, published April 2006, had three editors: Karen Connelly in the fall, Abbie Lichty in the winter, and Bethany Duncan for the full year. This issue would be the last one edited by Abbie Lichty and Karen Connelly, and it would be the first and last issue edited by Bethany Duncan. The next editors were Megan Clausen and Katie Meyer, who edited the first issue of the seventh volume, April 2007. That proved to also be their final issue, and the next year, Kristi Anderson and Allison Engel became the co-editors for the first issue of the eighth volume, April 2008. They would go on to edit the sole issue from volume nine, April 2009 before Laura Gehring and Angela Church would co-edit the final issue of A Knights Armor, issue 1 of volume 10, 2010.
