IS 201: The California Gold Rush (Lindell)

Databases and Journals Relevant to Research on the Gold Rush

We have subscribed to several excellent history journals in print over the years. While we no longer subscribe to any journal in print, we do still subscribe directly to some online, and we still have the back issues of everything we subscribed to on the Periodicals shelves on the 1st floor.

A few examples of journals with back issues on the shelves:

  • Annals of Iowa - State Historical Society of Iowa
    • Now available online!
  • Concordia Historical Institute Quarterly
  • Current History
  • History Today
  • Journal of Southern History
  • Prologue

In our JOURNAL SEARCH, you can search for the title of a journal, newspaper, or magazine to see if we have access, either in print or online.

You can also browse our collection by subject category. For instance: U.S. History.

You cannot search the CONTENTS of the publications in the search portal, but you'll be able to find some publications to then jot down and remember to look for when you do searches in other databases and catalogs.

A-Z List of Databases

The databases I've listed above are not the only databases we have to offer! Use our master list of databases to find a database to suit your needs!
