What is the Kstatt? 

• The Kstatt (Kreativewerkstatt) is Vogel Library's makerspace - open to current students, faculty, and staff of Wartburg College.

How do you access the Kstatt?

• Patrons must sign a form at the 2nd floor circulation desk.
• Checkout a block at the 2nd floor circulation desk.

1. Check out a block for the Kstatt
2. Check out the Button supplies kit for the Kstatt
3. Prepare the required materials:
   • Cutting mat
   • Circle punch
   • Circle cutter
   • Transparent film
   • Button backs and fronts
   • Instructions are included in the kit
4. Cut out your paper for the button
5. Insert the button front and then the paper and film, in that order
6. Slide over to align the upper and lower dies
7. Pull the handle down 
8. Insert the button back into the other die
   • Make sure the squiggle is facing you
9. Slide to the left to align the upper and lower dies again
10. Pull the handle down again

Congrats! Your button is made!
