Word of Caution

When using websites, be sure to know how respected the site and information contained within are. Many user-controlled sites, such as Wikipedia, have little respect in the academic community. Be aware of the purpose of the site, as well as who moderates the information on the site.

Three Branches

Maintained by the Library of Congress, THOMAS serves as a gateway to federal legislative information.  Coverage begins with the 101st Congress (1989), providing access to bills, resolutions, Congressional Record, committee information, Presidential nominations, and more.

The White House
Your gateway to official information coming from the Executive branch.  Access Presidential briefings, actions on legislation, nominations & appointments, and policy pages on the Administration's key issues.

U.S. Supreme Court
Covering the work of the Judicial branch, find recent decisions and historical court opinions, track pending and decided cases, and listen to audio files of oral arguments from 2010 to current.
