Library Ambassador Program

Who We Are

The Vogel Library Student Ambassador Program is open to all current Wartburg students. This program aims to advocate for Vogel Library in both formal and informal ways. This includes promotion of library services as well as educating on all the library has to offer. Also, the Library Student Ambassador Program is charged with offering student perspectives and voices to continue to improve Vogel Library spaces and services to be inclusive of all students at Wartburg College.

What We Do

The Library Ambassador program will serve as a student outreach program. This program will:

• create a student-driven marketing campaign that gives awareness to Vogel library programs and services.
• advocate for Vogel library programs and services through participation and representation at college and community events.
• gather student concerns and needs and formally present them to the Vogel Library staff.
• offer participants the opportunity to foster meaningful lifelong skills (e.g., communication, leadership, project management, advocacy, teamwork, etc.).

Expectations

Library Ambassadors will:

• meet face-to-face three times each semester. 
• participate in approximately 10 hours of library advocacy per semester. 
• be a vocal advocate for Vogel Library in their classes, student organizations, and beyond. 

Qualifications

Library Ambassadors must:

• be a full-time student.
• submit an online application.
• show a passion for Vogel Library.
• be able to serve on campus for the academic year (2019-2020)
