The History Channel
Obviously, this is a popular (not scholarly) source, but it works extremely well if you use it like an encyclopedia--get an overview of your topic and ideas for further research.

Pretty amazing we have access to this without having to travel to the actual building! The online catalog of NARA's nationwide holdings in the Washington, DC area, Regional Archives and Presidential Libraries. Obviously not everything is on here.
