ELITE

Our ELITE Consultants (Emerging Leaders in Technology Education) are here to provide technology assistance and guidance. They can help with printing questions, software and hardware issues, 3D printing questions, and circulating technology questions.

In Fall Term, we have 6 ELITE Consultants serving Wartburg: Brenden, Brynna, Mo, Rabecca, Rewa, and Tanishka.

In October, ELITE will again offer the Cricut workshop (see the Events section). Stay tuned for future workshops this term on AI! ELITE are currently researching how AI can be helpful and also when to be careful of AI.

SEM 100 Information Literacy

Teaching a SEM 100 course? If you are based in STEM, I'll be your librarian! The faculty librarians (Amy, Melissa, Renée, Sarah) have created a curriculum that will span all four Seminar courses to ensure all students gain the proper information literacy skills during their time at Wartburg.

We are also conducting a research project, gathering information about student learning in information literacy, so we can improve our teaching, properly design SEM 200 instruction, and continue to respond accordingly to student and faculty needs. We do not grade your students. We only observe and survey them, to gain insight on their understanding of information literacy skills.

If you'd like to offer this instruction to your students, please reach out to me to schedule a workshop for your SEM 100 class. renee.barney@wartburg.edu

Circulating Technology

Leave your laptop charger on your desk at home today? We've all been there! See below for a variety of laptop chargers we have for checkout at the library. They checkout for 24-hours.

I'll work with students in person and online. Please feel free to share this link in your Canvas portals and anywhere else you think it would be helpful. Thanks!
