Online Databases Provided by Vogel Library: For Further Investigation
The library subscribes to online resources which are available for you to explore. Some of them might look familiar to you from your high school or public library. There are many additional choices beyond the selections listed here. You can connect to them in the A to Z List on the Databases tab on the Vogel Library home page to view a full list.

- Access World NewsFull-text newspapers from the U.S. and the world. In the left frame, check out the Hot Topics and Special Reports.
- Academic Search CompleteEBSCOhost's college-level multidisciplinary database. A great starting point; can limit results to scholarly, by date, etc.
- Alt Press WatchShowcases unique, independent voices from many respected and cited grassroots newspapers, magazines, and journals, including international perspectives.
- America: History & LifeJournals, books and more about Northamerican prehistory to the present.
- ATLA Religion Database with ATLA SerialsThe world's major theology and religion database with links to many full-text journals.
- CQ Electronic LibraryA variety of CQ Press products provide governmental, political, public policy and historical information from an American viewpoint.
- Credo ReferenceFull-text reference sources in an online format: encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, etc.
- Historical AbstractsHistory of the world (excluding the U.S. and Canada) from 1460 to the present.
- JSTORFull-text scholarly articles from reputable journals in many disciplines. Excludes the most recent 2-5 years for many titles.
- Project MuseA 2nd collection of full-text scholarly articles from reputable journals in many disciplines. Includes current issues.
- SocINDEX with Full TextA specialized EBSCOhost databases covering sociology and the social science which includes LOTS of full text articles.
